No. GroupApp does not currently have a feature to pause or put your account on hold. If you need to take a break from your community, the only option is to cancel your subscription.
⚠️ Important: Cancelling is permanent. When you cancel your GroupApp subscription, your community and all associated data will be deleted. This includes:
All courses and course content
Uploaded files and library content
Community settings and member data
Channels, posts, and messages
All member accounts and their activity
There is no grace period or data retention window after cancellation. Make sure you have exported anything you need before cancelling.
No — once your subscription is cancelled and your community is deleted, you cannot restore it. You would need to create a brand new community from scratch, and your previous data will not be recoverable.
If you cancel your subscription, all members will lose access to the community immediately. Their member profiles are deleted along with the community.
If you need a temporary break but want to keep your community and data intact, here are your options:
Downgrade to a lower-cost plan
If budget is the concern, contact us to discuss plan options that might work better for a few months.
Export your data
Before cancelling, you can export your member information and content. See Manage Your Community Members for details on exporting member data.
Leave the community dormant
You can keep your subscription active but stop actively managing the community. Your data and members will remain intact.
If you still wish to proceed, see How to Cancel Your GroupApp Subscription for step-by-step instructions.
