How to configure Channel default View

Channel View Settings Overview

With the Channel View Settings, you can strategically guide your members' attention to the most important content, whether it’s upcoming events, a course, or channel discussions.

1. Default View Selector:
   Choose which tab (e.g., Discussions, Events, Courses) is selected by default when your channel members visit the channel.

   By setting the default view to "Events" or "Courses," members will automatically land on that tab when they enter the channel. This is a great way to:

   • Encourage RSVPs to upcoming events.

   • Prompt enrollments in new courses.

2. Hide Less Relevant Views
   You can toggle off views that are not relevant at the moment. For example, if your focus is on getting users to sign up for a course, you can hide Discussions and Events, keeping Courses as the sole visible tab.

How to set channel views

1. Navigate to the admin section by clicking the admin panel button

   

2. Click the channels menu and select a channel

   

3. Once the channel builder is opened, scroll to the Channel layout section.

   

4. Select the channel default view and hide or show the views

   

5. Save the updates, and navigate back to the channel to view the updates in the channel view
