Setting Up a Paywall or Charging Attendees for Your Event

Learn how to create a paid event

In this video, I'll guide you through the process of setting up a paywall for your event or charging attendees to join an event within your community. I'll show you how to create different price points, configure the access level, and publish the event.

As an admin, I'll also demonstrate how a member can RSVP for a paid event and make a successful payment. By the end, you'll have all the information you need to monetize your events effectively.

How to create a paywall for your event

1. Click on the Admin Panel button.

2. Click Events on the side menu.

3. Click New Event button or edit any existing event.

4. For creating a new event, complete all events details and click Save button. Proceed to Pricing tab.

5. Click any of the Add pricing button.

6. Enter the following details

  • Pricing Name: Name of the Pricing.

  • Pricing Description (not required): This will be the description of the event on the event's checkout page.

  • Pricing type

    • Free: Event will be for Free.

    • Paid: Event will be for the specified amount.

  • Show as

    • Default pricing: When selected, this will be the default pricing for the event.

    • Hidden pricing: When selected, this pricing will not be the default pricing for the event.

  • Add buyer to your community toggle: When selected, user who will RSVP for the event will be added automatically as a community member with the selected subscription plan.

  • Add buyer to segments toggle: When selected, user who will RSVP for the event will be added automatically to the selected segments for this pricing.

7. Click Save button.

8. In case of multiple pricing and the pricing you want to activate is currently hidden, you can set the default pricing by clicking the Pricing 3 dot icon and click Set as default.

9. To enable the One-time fee access level for this event, go to Event Details tab.

10. Go to Access level section and click the One-time fee option, click Save Settings button.

11. To publish Event, click the Draft link and click Publish option.

How to RSVP for a paid event

1. Click Events on the side menu.

2. Click the event.

3. Click RSVP button.

4. Complete the payment details and click Buy Now button.

5. You have now successfully RSVP'd for the event.
