# How to Disable Commenting on a Post

Learn how to disable commenting on a post

**Step 1:** Go to the post you want to disable comments on and click the three-dot icon on the right.

**Step 2:**  Select the **Close Commenting** option.

**Step 3:** To enable commenting, click again on the post's three-dot icon and click the **Open Commenting** option.

Disabling comments on a post can also be applied to posts created in:

-   Channels
    
-   Course discussion pages
    
-   Library content discussion pages
    
-   Event discussion pages
